Name and Biography

My name is Andrew Preus. I was born in Grand Forks, ND in 1987, and I grew up in Racine, WI (1989-1997) and in East Grand Forks, MN (1997-2006). My father is a Lutheran pastor, and my mother teaches part-time. I am the eigth child of their twelve children (11 boys and 1 girl). I am married with one child.

Education

Univeristy of Minnesota, Morris: BA in Political Science (Political Theory), 2009

Currently a Student a Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary in St. Catharines, Ontario, working on a Master of Divinity (MDiv), and studying to be a Lutheran Pastor in Lutheran Church-Canada (LCMS).

Religion

Orthodox Lutheran I subscibe to the Lutheran Confessions as the true and faithful confession of the Christian Faith because (quia) they agree with the Holy Scriptures in every article of faith. Because they agree with the Scriptures, which are the norma normans (the norming norm), I believe the Confessions are the norma normata (normed norm) of all Christian doctrine.

Interests

I have become increasingly interested in history, particularly Historical Theology, since I have been in graduate school. I study Latin, Greek, and Hebrew. I enjoy drinking beer while discussing theological and political issues. I am also a crazy fan of the Green Bay Packers.

I have recently become interested in contributing to Wikipedia on account of my increased interest in History.
