Alessandro Falco (born 1986) is an Italian documentary photographer, known for his work focusing on environmental and social issues in the Amazon rainforest.

Career

Under the mentorship of war photographer Fabio Bucciarelli since 2014, Falco began documenting humanitarian issues, including the refugee crisis in Europe and hunger in Venezuela. His photographs have been published by notable international media such as The New York TimesCite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).</ref></ref>, National Geographic, CNN, and more.

In 2016, Falco gained global recognition for his documentation of a severe drought in the Brazilian North East, exhibited by the United Nations at the 1st World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul.

Currently residing in Belem do Pará, the gateway to the Amazon River, Alessandro Falco continues his dedicated efforts to shed light on the critical issues facing the Amazon rainforest.
