My name is Alex Voss and I am a freelancer and independent researcher. Formerly Lecturer in Software Engineering at the University of St Andrews, I have held various affiliations with other Universities in the UK and US. Check out my website for more information.
I am relatively new to Wikipedia editing as I tend to focus on doing research. I have had the pleasure of supervising Abd Alsattar Ardati's PhD on the participatory design of a collaborative tool for running Wikipedia training events and other projects. Another student has developed a browser plugin aiming to ease the onboarding of new Wikipedia editors. Beyond this, I look forward to contributing to articles on software engineering, software engineering and human rights as well as the philosophy of computing.
