Alexnadal is the pseudonym for Noelle Alejandra Salmi, and is a play on her name. Her middle name is often shortened to Alex. Her first name is the feminine spelling of Noel, or Christmas, and Christmas in Catalan is Nadal; Nadal is also a last name in Catalonia.
Noelle Alejandra Salmi (nee Veale) is an editor at Matador Network and the author of several editions of Frommer's travel guides about San Francisco[1]. She has written for multiple print and online travel publications[2][3][4] and parenting publications[5]. After earning her undergraduate degree, she worked at Jornal do Brasil in Rio de Janeiro. During graduate school at Columbia University, she interned at the United Press International bureau at the United Nations during the first Gulf War and, over the summer, at the Associated Press in Berlin, Germany.[6]
