Our group intends to edit the Wikipedia page entitled Oralism. We intend to accurately portray typically misunderstood research on Oralism, especially when it is lauded for its success. We intend to cite unbiased and accurate information, as this topic is seen as a hot-bed for argument between audiologists and Deaf advocates alike. We seek a hearing audience whose first encounter with a Deaf person may be their own child and who seeks more information on educational opportunities. We intend to use only use accurate studies from textbooks and academic papers. This is a topic that needs a more accurate portrayal, and we feel we can do the job.
