Kumraul

Kumraul a dream village to live in. The village is situated in the North-East part of Darbhanga district in Ghanshyampur Block. The village is situated in the West of Kamla Rivers' dam. It is surrounded by Kamla River from the East, Navtolia from South, Ghanshyampur from west & Deuri-Tumaul from North.

People from different religion are staying together in the village. Hindu & Muslims are the major among them. People from different caste (Brahman, Yadav, Badhai, Mallah, Chaupal, Ram, Gaderi, etc) stands for each other. ROYs, ISHWARs, CHAUDHARYs, MISHRAs, JHAs, THAKURs are the surname used by Brahmans. We have 2 Government School, 1 Hospital, & 1 Community Center in our village. Dhobiyahi Pokhar, Gohbar Pokhar, Bhaluahi Pokhar, Navki Pokhar are the famous pound in our village. Kartik Poornima, Saraswati Pooja & Vishwakarma Pooja are the main festivals we celebrate together every year. This village has own importance as far as Indias' Freedom is concern. Late Dr. Bhuvneshwar Roy was the one who represent us in India's struggle for freedom. Late Gopal Chaudhary & Late Raghunath Roy were the one who bring us as a big decider in Panchayat's politics. Youth from village are doing good in their respective fields either it is education or Service. There are many more thing which is interesting about us. Will keep posting time on time.
