Love Island is a British dating reality show where a group of single "Islanders" live together in a luxurious villa, coupled up for a chance to win a cash prize. Series 11 is the eleventh season of the popular show.

Production

The eleventh series of Love Island began airing on June 3rd, 2024, with a simulcast on ITV1 and ITV2, marking the first time the launch episode aired on both channels. Applications for the season opened just hours before the final episode of season 10 aired in August 2023. The first teaser for series 11 aired in April 2024, depicting a dramatic scene with a person in a silver boiler suit using a flamethrower, accompanied by the tagline "This summer's going to be fire."

Love Island follows a similar format each season, with Islanders taking part in challenges designed to test their relationships and compatibility. New Islanders are introduced periodically, and viewers can vote for their favourite couples. At regular intervals, Islanders who are not in couples or those deemed incompatible by the public are at risk of being "dumped" from the villa. Recouplings also occur, where Islanders choose new partners, potentially causing drama and heartbreak.
