Being one of the fastest growing smartphone markets and increasing internet userbase (Internet in India), data management in India is increasingly gainly importance. With a push towards digitization by the government in the recent years, India has seen a wide range of data management issue and data breaches. My goal with this article is to:
- Look at the stakeholders in the data procurement and storage in India at both the federal (central) and state (starting with Maharashtra) levels.
- Expand on the data breaches with India's version of the SSN (aadhar) and other related incidents.
- Link other articles of relevance on the topic on wikipedia
