Andrew Thomas Gillis was born in Richmond, British Colombia, Canada on March 23, 1984. He graduated from Howe Sounds Secondary School in Squamish, British Colombia in 2002 and subsequently graduated from The University of British Colombia with a bachelor's degree in Applied Science - Mining Engineering in 2007. He currently works for Sepro Mineral Systems in Langley, British Colombia.
