Columbia Touch Rugby Association (CTRAMD)[edit]

History[edit]

Columbia Touch Rugby Association, Maryland (CTRAMD) started in 1998, as a rag tag group of ex-rugby players and players with absolutely no rugby experience whatsoever. Because Touch Rugby is a sport in which men and women can compete side by side, CTRAMD has always had a decent mix of male and female players. In fact, well of 500 players have joined in over the past 10 years.

CTRAMDs home field was on Fort George G. Meade, until 2004 when they moved locations to the fields near the East Columbia Library in Columbia, Maryland (6600 Cradlerock Way -- See map). Over time, various fields in the East Columbia Library and Dasher Green Elementary School (6700 Cradlerock Way -- See map) have been used.

Current Status[edit]

CTRAMD is still very active. Check out the CTRAMD website. Recently CTRAMD has seen a welcomed increase in new recruits. Pickup games are played every Saturday morning, year around (weather permitting). Our current start time is at 9:00 a.m., and we play at our Dasher Green Elementary School location (See map).

How To Participate[edit]

The CTRAMD maintains a Google group through which news and weekend Touch run status is provided. If you'd like to participate in any of the CTRAMD pickup games, or other events they may be hosting/participating in, you may join the group by visiting their CTRAMD Google Group Page.
