So chosen to reflect that ALL Wikipedia editing should be objective, impartial, and focus on edit, not editor. The formation of cliques, or of groups of editors that bias articles by editing together is among the most dire challenges to Wikipedia as a reliable source of information.

Wikibombing

[edit]

Another of the most important challenges Wikipedia faces. Began editing profusely in reaction to(which soon turned to shock at) the number of postings at hopelessly partisan websites urging people to essentially vandalize Wikipedia, inserting the (usually false) information that the website expounds. Have found many such provably false notions that are passionately held by editors, not because they are right, but because they have "heard" them on these sites and will not think for themselves. Some way to monitor these sites needs to be instituted, and I would even advocate topic-banning editors that repetitively insert what these sites ask them to.--Anonymous209.6 (talk) 17:12, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
