Anousak Anthony Souphavanh is an Open Source evangelist for Lao language and software developer.

Anousak was born in the central of Laos namely in the village called Banh Don Kio, Nongbok District, Khammuan province. Anousak left Laos and settled in the small town in upstate New York called Ithaca after the country changed the government. Anousak left Laos when he was only 16 and grew up in New York. He attended Ithaca High School and graduated in 1984 and entered Clarkson University, Binghamton University, and Rochester Institute of Technology all in the state of New York, where he studied computer science. He received bachelor and masters respectively. After receiving masters from RIT, Anousak joined the IBM and served as technical specialist, where he managed customers' UNIX and IBM AS400 environments. During 2002-2003, Anousak was called to work with Jhai Foundation in developing Lao version of Linux Operating for the project called Remote IT Project in Laos. Upon the project completion, Anousak returned to the IBM and then was again called by the UNDP Laos to work on the ICT for Development Project with the STEA's science and technology department. Anousak also worked with Ministry of Telecom and Post in developing the first version of Lao mobile. Anousak continues to work and assist many projects related to Lao ICT development.

Anousak currently works as a consultant to Nakhone Luang Water Authority and an ICT Advisor to the Department of Science and Technology, STEA Agency Laos.
