Musician A pass got inspired to become a musician by the songs he used to listen to in the car as his father took him to school. While in school, he could mime to other artists music on stage in college and high school. He recorded his first song at freeways studio in 2007 and since then, he has went on to rise into a professional recording artist.
He later met Don Mc at St. Lawrence College who introduced him to music producer Imon of South Syde, who they later started recording songs with including Kiki Kyomanyiko featuring Keyner and Unique. He then shot his first video for Kiki Kyomanyiko with video director George Kasakya. He went on to meet other artistes at the studio including Mark Ryan, Mac Elvis , Navio, Flex Da Paper and Dave Dash among others.
Apass formed a strong musical relationship with Dave Dash who by then was known as A Dash and the two did a couple of songs together. As time went on, Dave Dash moved on and became a radio presenter hence abandoning his musical career and leaving A Pass a solo artist.
In 2011, he met well know video director Lukyamuzi Bashir aka Badi who immediately noticed his talent when he met Apass at South Syde while in a studio session. Bashir began taking him to various studios around the country plus connecting him to different influential people in music. In 2012, now his manager and friend built a recording studio in Makindye called Badi Musik making it easy for A Pass to explore his talent at any time in the studio. Badi went on also to shoot videos for Apass in 2013 which added a steady kick-off to his career.
In 2013, A Pass started recording vigorously with a couple of young talented producers including Alex from Jamaica (A.I.P), Nessim (Badi Musik), Baru (DustVille), Timo (Badi Musik), Just Jose (Swangz Avenue), Benon, (Swangz Avenue), Nash (Swangz Avenue), Mac Elvis (South Syde), Keyner (K Records), Samurae (Talent 256), Don (DustVille) and several others.
A pass has so far recorded more that 150 songs and written more than 200 songs plus writing for several artists. A pass states that most of the songs he has recorded at Badi Music were recorded and voiced by himself and with a lot of strength is in his versatility, A pass has shared stages with Jamaican successful talents Konshens and Alaine. A pass states that his musical influence is by so from many genres including dancehall, reggae, Rnb, hip hop and afro pop from artistes like Michael Jackson, Lucky Dude, UB40 among others.
