Hey there, I'm Jules. I created this page in order to help Wikipedia with articles and also to get myself back into writing a bit. I love to let my thoughts flow out at random, and I used to write all kinds of things years ago - blogs, papers, tangents (my own rambling, mostly) - and it was both enjoyable and a blessing to me. I've been going through a ton of crazy stuff for well over a year now, and my writing itself has been at a standstill for at least two years. As hard as things have been, the most recent events have made me feel that I need to get back to what I feel I was born to do. I'm hoping I can find the energy, strength, and motivation that I need to start all over and put words out there on paper (where they belong) rather than storing them in my head. I'm 27 years old, and I've been fortunate enough to not have lost anyone that I was very close to [to death] up until about a week ago. I wrote a memorial for him, and while it wasn't great (I wrote it in the middle of the night after a few beers - hah!), it was still well received, and I feel as though my friend would want me to continue on. So, here I go.
I'm also creating this page for my friend, Randy, who deserves a mention on here. He isn't nationally known, but he's an amazing musician/singer/songwriter, and he's locally appreciated, so hopefully Wikipedia doesn't delete it. I want his fans to be able to find him on here, and I want to recognize (online) someone who has amazing talent, albeit unrecognized [by him]. Life is short, often more so than we realize, and although it sounds cliche, the little things matter the most. It's also important for one to appreciate themselves and their talent, for that is given to us at birth without any conceivable explanation or reason. It just is, and it is for a reason.

Just browsed the Wikipedia guidelines; etc... appears I'm not allowed to create a page for my friend.. doesn't matter that he's regionally known, apparently... you have to be a name that Wiki realizes. I'll be honest, I'm slightly unhappy with Wiki[Media] right now... I can understand deleting the random person that decides to just puff themselves up with a WP page, but come on. Someone with real talent? If Wiki is going to continue to deny pages that contain people without millions in their bank account, then they (as awesome as they are; and I really believe that they are, knowing that they have no budget/etc) then they should maximize their money by taking a portion of Wiki servers and turning them into freelance entries. Wiki clearly can't afford to create/host/edit (for content) a site like that free, but... egh, there are other ways to create profit, and I think they'd garner more income with a public access (vaguely reminiscent of social networking) page than they would with the current one. Just a thought. I know that Wiki can't afford to take the influx... again, I respect the way they handle their company... but again, I would choose to utilize this amazing opportunity.
