Anatomical characteristics of the face

[edit]

On the face are the initial parts of the senses-analyzers — visual (eyes), auditory (ears), olfactory (nose), and also begin the Airways that provide breathing. The mouth opening begins the digestive tract.

There are different options for dividing the face into areas. R. A. Reiss considers the simplest and most fundamental option of dividing the face into three proportional to the height of the Department (floor):

  • upper (from the brow line to the edge of the hairline);
  • the average (from the eyebrows to the line of the nostrils);
  • lower (from the nostrils to the chin).

This division is justified from the genetic point of view. Each of these departments has its embryonic rudiments. At the stages of postnatal ontogenesis, they also develop according to the laws of growth. Very significant is the weak development of the lower zone in children aged 1 year.

On the face are: forehead, eyebrows, bridge of nose, nose, eyes, cheeks, ears (edge face), cheeks, lips, moustache, mouth, and chin.

Facial expression (facial expressions)

[edit]

Face very clearly expresses (facial expressions) human emotions, such as pain, joy, disappointment, fatigue, anxiety, anger.

Since 1978, there has been a "facial movement coding system" (FACS) developed by Paul eckman's team, which lists the key facial muscles and allows you to record facial expressions formed by them.

The face is the most individual part of the human body, it is by its holistic perception that the individual is identified. The origin of the word personality from the person in the Russian language, as well as the word person in figurative meanings — a person in General, the distinctive ability of something — is not accidental. A portrait, a photo of a person (including in documents) is first of all an image of a person. [[Category:Facial expressions]] [[Category:Face]]
