My name is Austin T. Beaty. I am a senior broadcast journalism major from Harrisburg, Illinois. I am a political science minor and am hoping to utilize my acquired knowledge to better my understanding of the field of journalism. Having grown up in a small town in southern Illinois, I was raised with a conservative mindset. Coming to Illinois State gave me an alternative perspective on politics. I am hoping to better my understanding of the United States political system throughout the duration of this semester. Chitty chitty bang bang.
