Dr.A.V.Senthil Kumar was born in Sathyamangalam, a small town on 9/12/66. He graduated from Gobi Arts College in June 1987, followed by a diploma in the year 1988 and completed his MCA degree in 1991. His academic thirst is not over with these degrees. He received his M.Phil degree during 2005 and Ph.D degree during 2009. Finally he was awarded with D.Litt in the year 2015.

He joined in CMS College of Science and Commerce as a faculty in Computer Science. Dr.A.V.Senthil Kumar is presently working as Professor & Director, Department of Master of Computer Applications, Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore.

Research Guidance : His expertise in conducting research is depicted through his students. He has produced 18 M.Phil and 7 Ph.D students.

Papers published : Dr.A.V.Senthil Kumar has published totally 121 papers in international journals and 13 in national journals. Also published 18 papers in International conferences and 20 papers in national conferences.

Patents : Patents speaks about uniqueness of a person. For his credit he was given the patent, in connection with the detection of Sinkhold attacks in Cognitive Radio Adhoc Networks.

Authoring Books : He has authored 2 books and 6 edited books (publishers are from USA), which is a rare achievement.

Authoring Chapters for Books : His merits are realized worldwide through his Books. He has either authored or co-authored totally ten book chapters, out of which seven publishers are from USA, which is a rare achievement.

Editorial Boards : Being Editor-in-Chief for many reputed journals, he added the merit of promoting the research. He is holding the most responsible post of Editor-in-Chief for nine international journals, and Chief Guest Editor for two international journals.

He is also a member of editorial boards in many National or International journals.

Journal Review : He is a member, either in the capacity of Board Member or Reviewer for 40 International Journals and 35 National Journals.

Technolgy to layman : It is normally seen that, common people may be interested to learn technology. But they are poor in English language. Even the people who know only Tamil language, are able to use technology with the help of his Tamil articles and Question and Answer sessions in a Technology Magazine (TAMIL COMPUER published twi ce in a month) written Tamil Language.

Countries Visited : Dr.A.V.Senthil Kumar, is the most sought after person in international arena. He visited the countries Indonesia, Hongkong, Malaysia, Bhutan, Singapore, Dubai and Thailand for his research presentations and which was appreciated by the scholar community.

Addressing the Technolgical issues in Cyber Crimes : Dr.A.V.Senthil Kumar, has done research in Face Recognition and Face Comparison Technologies. Cyber crimes can be controlled with the help of this research.

Addressing the Agricultural needs : Dr.A.V.Senthil Kumar, has realized the importance of Agriculture for a country. One of his research works is focusing the process of maximizing the yields of seasonal crops.
