I have interests in the history northeastern Pennsylvania USA and Italy, particularly the Abruzzo region.

About Me

I was born in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania to a Italian immigrant father (from Abruzzo - Teramo province) and a first generation Italian mother (whose parents were also from Abruzzo - Chieti and Pescara provinces). My father was an anthracite coal miner so I also claim to be a "Coal Cracker".

I have an engineering degree from Penn State University and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden. I spent over ten years in the United States Air Force including 4 years on active duty and the balance in the USAF Ready Reserve as a "weekend warrior". The use of the word "weekend " in this context is not correct however as my active duty stints as a reservist were any day(s) of the week flying all over the world on live missions. All over the world includes Japan, Thailand, Guam, Philippines, Scotland, Spain, Italy, Yugoslavia, Ethiopia, Greece, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Panama, Iceland, Greenland, Canada, England, Azores Islands, Turkey.
