Awang Armadajaya bin Pengiran Mahmud

Deputy Public Prosecutor / Senior Federal Counsel at Attorney-General's Chambers, Malaysia A Prosecutor with broad experience in criminal prosecutions and supervision of investigations. The spectrum ranges from constitutional laws including human rights issues;sexual; general / major crimes of bodily injuries; narcotics; commercial crimes including banking, corporate fraud and intellectual property infringements; security and property crimes. Work experiences also include criminal appeals and other miscellaneous matters in the High Courts (Malaya and Sabah & Sarawak) the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Malaysia.

I was also a lecturer / facilitator in women empowerment issues and human rights. Experiences include group training, moot trials, defence advocacy, prosecutorial methodology and investigation techniques (from legal prespectives).

Other areas which I do are alternative dispute resolutions, social work, youth training, mind mapping, public speaking, speed reading, jurisprudential and philosophical concerns including comparative legal thoughts.

Personal interests includes the Shariah (Islamic Laws) inclusive of jurisprudence, legal maxims and equity, juris corpus especially procedural and evidential issues.

Conducting Officer Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate into the death of Teoh Beng Hock January 2011 – 25 June 2011 (6 months)

I was appointed by His Majesty, Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Dipertuan Agong (the King of Malaysia) to be one of the Conducting Officers from 26 January 2011 - 25 June 2011 (subject to enlargement of time) to assist the Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate into the death of Teoh Beng Hock, former political secretary to a state minister of Selangor.

Within this period I am not a deputy public prosecutor / senior federal counsel and has no powers as such.
