Biography
Allah Yar Khan (1932 - 2003) was a Pakistani educationist and scholar.
Backgrounds
Khan belonged to the Khweshgi, Watto Zai tribe of Pathans, who were renowned for their contributions to the region's history and culture [1]. His forefathers came to India alongside Babar the Great's army and fought in the First and Second wars of Panipat [2].
Early Life and Education
Khan was born in Nawan Kot Jageer, Dipalpur, Okara District, Punjab, Pakistan. He graduated from Government College, Sahiwal, and later earned his Master's degree in Arabic Language from Government College Lahore (now Government College University Lahore) [3].
Career
Khan taught at Anjuman-e-Islamia College, Kasur (now Islamia Degree College), for 35 years, serving as Vice Principal and Principal multiple times [4].
Personal Life
Khan married Ismat Azim in 1960 and had two sons, Muhammad Asim Khan (deceased) and Muhammad Noman Khan, and a daughter, Umm-e-Kulsoom.
