Ahmed Ennaji (born on 1.1., 1955 in Timoulilt (Azilal), Morocco; died on 26 Oct. 2010 in Casablanca, Morocco, was a Moroccan veterinarian and martial arts expert.
Biography
[edit]Ahmed Ennaji went to primary school in his Berber home village of Timoulilt, 20 kms away from the city of Beni-Mellal, north of Marrakesh. His training began as a high school student of experimental sciences in Beni-Mellal in 1968. In 1975, he obtained his Baccalaureate certificate and joined Mohamed V University at Rabat to study veterinary medicine. Upon his graduation in 1981, he was appointed in Dakhla city in the Moroccan Sahara as a veterinarian supervising the food consumed by the army. Then, in 1982, he was transferred to Fès to work with the [[1]] as a veterinary doctor. He got married in Casablanca in 1983 to Fatiha Sifeddine who bore him a son, Mehdi, and a daughter, Salma. In 1989, he left the above-mentioned company and opened his own clinic together with his colleague Abdallah Amraoui in the same city. He was the first veterinary doctor in Morocco to introduce and practice artificial insemination for cattle which really helped improve farming of cattle in the country. He later specialized in poultry farming, especially the raising of chicken for the purpose of farming meat or eggs for food. His main hobby was martial arts and chiefly Aikido , which he practiced essentially for competition, physical health and fitness, entertainment, as well as mental, physical, and spiritual development. He participated in many competitions in Morocco and worldwide, and won a number of awards.
Activities
[edit]Producer of [3] from 1992 to 2002. Since 1996 the firm's activity is exclusively about poultry , with the establishment of an analytical laboratory ([4] Bacteriology , Serologie etc. .. ). This was after a meeting with Dr. Dominique Balloy on the role of a veterinary practice relied on a laboratory specializing in poultry. In 1995, Dr. Ennaji became the linchpin of the Network Cristal Morocco, and in 1997, he started working in collaboration with the Cristal France Network .
With great professionalism, he developed activities of bacteriology, Elisa serology and conventional PCR in 2005, and real-time PCR . Collaboration between France and Morocco Cristal networks gave rise to many exchanges, visits, and training meetings. His firm was a particular reference to the hatchery for monitoring breeding.
Dr. Ennaji was known for his devotion to his profession. He never stopped seeking to improve his knowledge and share experience across multiple trips around the world to participate in international seminars and meetings regularly organized for farmers and technicians , inviting each time foreign experts (veterinarians, animal scientists, and strains managers) .
Highly appreciated by his customers and suppliers, discreet and respectful of his commitments, sportsman (Aikido , Iaido and race walking), he was all the time in a good mood. His passing really is a great loss to the profession, for breeders who have worked with him and for the Moroccan poultry. He was a professional veterinarian, who practiced his work with love and responsibility without sparing any effort.
At the official banquet of the national fair Dawajine 2010 in Casablanca, many tributes were paid to him, including those of Dr. Khair Eddine Soussi , president of the Federation FISA, Dr. Ahmed Amaqdouf , vice president of the National Order of Veterinarians and his very close friend , Dr. Abdallah Lamraoui.
His memory was also honored during the hatching day held in Nantes on November 3, 2010 by the Crystal France network, and the next day at the Forial Forum by Dr. Benoît Levier and Prof. Pedro Villegas of the American University of Georgia.
One of the main architects of Poultry Maghreb Conferences ( Ramis ) organized at Space in Rennes Dr. Ennaji was appreciated for his great humanity, friendliness, and willingness to share his experience and expertise.

[edit]Ahmed Ennaji, as an ikido practitioner, progressed by promotion through a series of "grades" (kyū), followed by a series of "degrees" (dan), then reaching the highest grade of black belt, and then professor of Aikido. He trained hundreds of Moroccan youth in aikido clubs and organizations.
