Reader first, editor second.
Can I rename my discussion page to concussion page? Anyway, it's over there, to the right. Make a noise.
(just keeping these here for reference for the time being)
New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! (Why do I find any sentence that contains a word like "queries" intrinsically funny when it has an exclamation point?) Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
and your question on the discussion page, for help from kind folks via IRC. I should have looked for help on that help tag first, though.
Here are a few good links for newcomers:
That's a horrible name for that page. Just my opinion. However, it also seems a horrible place for any newcomer to begin venturing opinions on. For now, let's just say the French version is better.
I'm too exhausted trying to comprehend various copyright issues and the creative ways people can manage to go wrong there that I won't even begin to deal with issues involving pictures. Besides which, the batteries in my camera have died.
I haven't had enough to time lately to even read enough great articles (I have to find a good, read only mirror of wikipedia just for reading. Keep me away from the damn edit tab) just for pleasure and edification, let alone attempt to write one. Won't be contributing any new articles for a long time if ever. Sorry folks. The only area of expertise I possess is my awareness of my own inexpertness. (inexpertude?) Ah, inexperience. Well, why not.
- a vacuum that needs filling (?): "How Not to write a great article"
That one I could definitely contribute to.
Naming what?
Only comment on Style is: never begin a page by just ladling in large, steaming chunks of freshly ripped out flesh from other people's "style." In other words, don't just copy and paste something and go changing this and changing that. Start fresh. With ideas from the sources. If you can't put the ideas in your own words, you haven't grasped the idea to begin with, so put it away for now. /sandysox My first subpage. Tada. Just a sandbox.
