Hi, I'm new to Wikipedia, so please excuse this user page in its infancy.

I have an MA in Science and Economics, and I've always been a semi-professional musician. My business career started in mainframe computers, so I'm reasonably computer literate. Now I'm retired, so can devote my spare time to what has always been my main interest, the organ. I specialise in Bach, and have performed most of his major organ works; and I've read all the major books about him.

I read Organists Review, and have followed the authorship debate about BWV 565 with despair. I can't claim impartiality - it has always seemed to me that it is a work of such originality that J S Bach is the only possible composer. I was impressed by the article in the Sept 2017 edition of Organists Review which analysed sections of Kranenburg's statistical analysis data that had not been previously considered, and when I found that this had not been reflected on the Wikipedia page I set about updating it. However it soon became clear that this was not the only defect about the Wikipedia entry, which has numerous inconsistencies, factual errors and outdated elements which must be obvious to any Bach specialist. I shall do my best to correct these, and look forward to debating any points with which other editors might disagree. But I do not intend to edit any other Wikipedia entries.
