Behadil Sabani (Albanian: Behadil Shabani; known as "Benko" Sabani; born 26 January 2000) is a Kosovan professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Dutch club FC Emmen.

Club career[edit]

Borussia Mönchengladbach II[edit]

On 13 October 2018, Sabani was named as a Borussia Mönchengladbach II substitute for the first time in a Regionalliga West match against SV Straelen.[1][2] His debut with Borussia Mönchengladbach II came on 8 February 2020 in a 0–2 away win against SV Lippstadt 08 after coming on as a substitute at 70th minute in place of Marco Cirillo.[3]

FC Emmen[edit]

On 28 July 2020, Sabani signed his first professional contract with Eredivisie side FC Emmen after agreeing to a two-year deal with the option of a third season.[4]

Germany[edit]

Under-16[edit]

On 10 May 2016, Sabani received a call-up from Germany U16 for the friendly match against France U16,[5] and six days later made his debut after coming on as a substitute at 61st minute in place of Sahverdi Cetin.[6]

Under-17[edit]

On 25 August 2016, Sabani was named as part of the Germany U17 squad for Four Nations Tournament.[7] On 11 September 2016, he made his debut with Germany U17 in Four Nations Tournament second match against Italy U17 after being named in the starting line-up.[8]

Kosovo[edit]

Under-21[edit]

On 29 August 2020, Sabani received a call-up from Kosovo U21 for the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification match against England.[9]

Personal life[edit]

Sabani was born in Koblenz, Germany to Kosovan parents from the village Gornje Ljubinje of Prizren.[10]
