Bapru Marma is the author of 'Tales from Marma Folklore' published in September 2022[1]. As the name implies the stories are based on folklores of indiggenous marma community of Bangladesh.

This is the first book ever written in english that aims to capture the evanescent stories which has been passed down orally for generations. Due to his contribution to cultural enrichment and preservation he was awarded Chittagong Hill Tracts Jumma Association Australia Award on 15 April 2023[2].

An avid Rucker inspired by ventures from middle earth to the great wall he has been writing in his native language Bengali since childhood. In native bengali language his writings, short stories, articles, etc. has appeared in numerous magazines, journals. Magics, fables and legends has shaped his bearings and the crafts of minting words continues. Tales from Marma Folklore is the first of two books planned.

He has studied engineering following his father who was an Automobile engineer. He is currently working on his second volume of works titled 'Tales from Marma Folklore VOlume 2'. The book is planned to be published in 2024.
