== MUD FROM MARZ (Marcelo Pradas, Boom Boom Heaux)

==
Mud From Marz" was a San Francisco Bay Area punk band from the early 80's,

it all started when Boom Boom Heaux met at the painter Charlie Bear's house

Marcelo Pradas (MARZ) He had written a few great songs with the brothers and were forming a band.

Boom Boom was coming off of Wet Nurse and had a record company., Rouleau Records. Marz's scheme needed a bass player, Boom Boom liked the energy and joined in immediately .

Robert had the typical great Limey drum talent and with Heaux on bass and Herschel on percussion Mud From Marz had a great rhythm section.
Marcelo Pradas (MARZ) obviously were Mud's fearless leader frontman, song writer and guitar player.
Later on, Jimmy Jacobs was added to the band, who also played with

Wet Nurse and the Jerry Garcia Band (he used a pseudonym: Jimmy Warren for legal reasons), when they played bigger gigs or when they recorded at Marin Recorders in San Rafael.

At some point some little cutie scooped their drummer and took him away like a lady knight in shining armor.

Once, they played at Heaven's Gate Saloon on Haight street and they were using Charlie Haddenfeldt on drums, Terry (our future drummer) on sax, Jimmy on moog synth and of course Marz, Boom and Herschel.

Some guy started pogo-ing and took out the entire front line
( Jimmy left right away because the moog was hot property back then)

but Charlie and Boom Boom kept up the beat making the guy crazy.......... The bouncers finally got him.

Charlie and Boom felt that they had come up with an ultimate

"one time only" voodoo beat that exist in the ether *(if one is properly prepared to receive the sacrament).

Mud from Marz eventually morphed into Midnightango with Dean on guitar and Terry drums and sax.
Satoshi was the new manager and they started using some new source of inspitaration.

A lot of great jazz guys used the same method they were using

because that particular discipline slows one's mind down and a musician can think eight notes ahead!
Then they recorded at Hyde St. Studios By the they were starting to have some problems with the police at their gigs.
At this point their music refined and redefined; more Roxy than punk,
they went from torn jeans to suits and our fans showed up in fur and high heels

( Sleeping Lady gig in Fairfax). And due to the problems with the law

and individuals substance abuse of modern music to achieve their musical aspirations?

Within a few months the band dissolved............ But Marz wasn't through yet, he played (as Marcelo Pradas) with Wet Tunes at a gig at the Corte Madera Rec Center together with Huey Lewis and the News who presented themselves as American Express. And Marz was also involved in the Rouleau Records project at Russian Hill Recorders:

Is That Your Car? Finally everyone either went down or withdrew, namely Marz, Jim Hite (Boom Boom)
and Jimmy, going down and Dean and Terry splitting.

But and this a big BUT, no one died! And they all live happily ever-after (knock on wood, Thank you Jezzzzus,

Hari-Hari Rama-Rama). Was there anything left out........? Tons!!, some can be revealed some will be reviled but, in the end everyone smiled.
