Salmedin Mesihovic was born on April 5. 1975, in Sarajevo where he finished elementary and high school. He graduated from the Philosophy Faculty in Sarajevo, Department of History in October 1999. with work entitled "Glasinačka kultura" (Glasinac culture). Since April 2000. he has been employed in the same department as a teaching assistant for ancient history. Postgraduate studies in archeology at the University of Zagreb he enrolled in 2001., and finished June 7. 2004, with work “Problem kulturne i etničke zajednice Autarijata” (The Problem of cultural and ethnic community of Autariates). Next year Salmedin Mesihović continued his education in ancient history at the History Department, Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. He received his PhD (January 30. 2007. in Zagreb) on the topic “Dezitijati: kulturna i narodnosno-politička zajednica u Iliriku i osvajanja Oktavijanova doba” (Daesitiates : cultural and national-political community in Illyricum and conquer of Octavianus). In March 2009. he was elected as docentus for ancient history at the Department of History (Philosophy Faculty in Sarajevo). From April 2009. Salmedin Mesihovic is head of the Department of Archaeology on the same Faculty (University of Sarajevo). Salmedin Mesihovic in previous years published many scientific works from ancient history and questions of classical times, more textbooks and manuals, as three books: 1.
