Who I am
Hello, I am the βeARer oF liGHt. Hopefully, you can get a good sense of who I am by examining my userboxes to the right. Yes, I am a teenager with a thirst for knowledge. I excel in my academic studies, and have made many friends along the way. I live in a small town in Oregon, in the USA, and have lived in Oregon my whole life. I consider myself a person with a high sense of right vs. wrong, but I enjoy life nonetheless.
Music is a hobby of mine, being a trumpet player since fifth grade. I am a video game player, and specifically I am a HUGE Nintendo fan, my favorite game being The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I read about as much as I can. Fantasy is my favorite genre, however I will read anything, including nonfiction and any writting printed anywhere else in the world. I don't have a favorite book, because there are just too many. Sports that I have been involved in, though not full heartedly, are soccer, baseball, basketball, track (running the 100m and 200m and throwing javelin), and lastly, ultimate frisbee. I root for no professional team. These are the activities that I am usually doing. If by any chance I am doing something else, besides taking care of my daily needs and education, I will most likely be hanging out with friends or family, or doing my favorite activity: thinking. I watch little TV, however I have my watch alarm set to go off at 6:28 on weekdays, for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Oh, by the way, I am an arachnaphobic
One day I hope to write a book, but about what I will not tell you. Let's just say it's a work in progress. As to the rest of my future, I really don't have very many plans. I will go to college, but who knows which one. I don't travel much, yet. I plan to change that in the upcoming years of my lively experience. Also, I plan to assist in the Wikipedia project for years to come.
Wikipedia and me
I have used Wikipedia ever since seventh grade, and I have loved it ever since. I made a few edits, and I frequently refered to it to assist me with school research. As I used it more and more I thought that I should create an account with it. I did so in July of 2008. I am not the most active of users, usually only being able to commit to Wikipedia on the weekends. However I do put care in the time that I do use Wikipedia, hoping to benefit Wikipedia in the long run.
Rules are important, and I will say here that I will do my utmost to uphold the guidlines of Wikipedia, and encourage others to do the same. I understand that source citing and the encyclopedic tone are very important to Wikipedia. Also, preventing, stopping, and reversing vandalism is necessary. The policies that I do not yet have down, and there are many, I promise to do my best to learn, and then follow. Any gramatical mistakes are unintentional, or at least should be. I am dyslexic, especially when it come to keyboarding, so even thoigh I always proofread my work, I am bound to make a few more mistakes than normal. Please bear with me.
As time goes on I will hope to contribute to articles relating to my interests, as well as anything else that my self-encyclopedia can update or improve upon. Work together with me to accomplish my goals! Wikipedia will help out my life, and I will do my best to return the favor.
If you take the time to contact me, please be polite about it. I will never show anger towards others, and I ask the same in return. If I have upset you, I will be happy to talk about it and reach a conclusion. If you cannot keep a temper down, it might be best to not contact me at all, as I may ignore you.
If you see anything wrong with this page, such as grammar, or can think of improvements I can make or things to add, please tell me.
If you have a project you would like help on, a job for me, et cetra, please don't be shy.
Wikipedia: Congrats! You're already here! βeARer oF liGHt (talk). Also, various discussion pages may be an effective way to get a message through.
Once again I cannot promise that I will be available around the clock. Actually, I can promise that I will not be. I'll try to commit every other weekend to Wikipedia, but other than that I may not be on much.
