Jean Berthoud (born 1961 in Neuchâtel) is a Swiss banker, CEO of Banque Bonhôte from 1990 to 2010, and then Chairman of the board of the same bank.
Biography
[edit]Born in Switzerland, he grew up in Paris, France, and then returned to Switzerland to study at the University of Neuchâtel where he got a "licence" in economics. He got a MBA from Columbia Business School in 1986.[1]
He started his career at J.P. Morgan & Co. in 1987 where he was an asset manager.[1] In 1992, he bought the majority of Banque Bonhôte's shares and became its CEO.[1] He stepped down as CEO of the bank in 2014.[1]
He was elected as member of SIX Swiss Exchange's sanctions committee in 2006, and again in 2012.[2] In September 2010, he became a member of the Swiss Bankers Association.[3]
