Jean Berthoud (born 1961 in Neuchâtel) is a Swiss banker, CEO of Banque Bonhôte from 1990 to 2010, and then Chairman of the board of the same bank.

Biography

Born in Switzerland, he grew up in Paris, France, and then returned to Switzerland to study at the University of Neuchâtel where he got a "licence" in economics. He got a MBA from Columbia Business School in 1986.[1]

He started his career at J.P. Morgan & Co. in 1987 where he was an asset manager.[1] In 1992, he bought the majority of Banque Bonhôte's shares and became its CEO.[1] He stepped down as CEO of the bank in 2014.[1]

He was elected as member of SIX Swiss Exchange's sanctions committee in 2006, and again in 2012.[2] In September 2010, he became a member of the Swiss Bankers Association.[3]
