Bex Day is a photographer and director from London.

In April 2019, Bex completed her first solo exhibition and film called Hen, which was centred around the older transgender and non-binary communities in the UK, and was featured on BBC Breakfast, Channel 4 News, Vogue Italia, Twin, Vice, i-D, It’s Nice That, Refinery29, Buzzfeed’s ‘Photo Stories That Challenge Your View Of The World’, 10 Magazine, Dazed and Confused, and AnOther Magazine to name a few.

Her recent editorial and commercial clients include Numero Berlin, Fendi, Levi’s, Toast, Lula Japan, Girlgaze, Wallpaper Magazine, Vogue Italia[1], Carven, Twin Magazine, American Apparel, Marta Jakubowski, AnOther[2], i-D Magazine (UK/DE)[3], British Journal of Photography[4], ODDA (cover), Lula Japan[5], Burberry, Adobe[6], Stella McCartney, Topshop, Dazed and Confused[7], Puss Puss Magazine (cover), The New York Times[8], and Vice (UK/US)[9] to name a few.

In March 2018, to coincide with Transgender Day of Visibility, Day created a series of images for Adobe of transgender communities in Berlin and London to increase inclusivity in their stock library. The series was featured on It's Nice That[10], Dazed and Confused[11], Refinery 29 [12]The Drum[13] and The Independent[14].

In June 2019, Day created a series and exhibition on 'Chosen Family' for Levi's to coincide with Pride in London. The work was about “celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of the LGBTQ+ experience through a collection of stories by the artist. This was a collaboration with Queer Britain, the first LGBTQA+ museum in Britain. The exhibition was a week long in Covent Garden and received press from British Vogue[15], Creative Review[16], and It's Nice That[17].

In January 2020, Bex featured as the cover of Riposte Magazine’s twelfth issue, taken from a series which focused on disability funding cuts in the current political climate. Following on from her work on ‘Hen’, Bex then photographed Diana Thomas for the cover of The Telegraph Magazine[18] in March 2020, celebrating her transition.

She has lectured about her work at Nicer Tuesdays (It’s Nice That), Cambridge University, The Hepworth Gallery, and the Vogue Italia ‘The Female Gaze’ [19]2016 and Masculinity Now 2018 [20]exhibition, as well as displaying some of her work, and was nominated for the Magnum Graduate Award 2016[21] and the C/O Berlin Talent Award 2020. She was also part of the ‘209 Women’ exhibition which was exhibited at the Houses of Parliament supporting women in parliament.
