Beyond Mars Beyond Mars is an American Indie band formed in Tomahawk, Wisconsin in April of 2020. With the life-long dream of starting a band, vocalist and lead acoustic guitarist Parker Johnson presented the idea to bassist Devon Liebnitz and manager Justin Skubal, who were very much intrigued. Parker, Devon, and Justin had graduated high school together back in 2018 where they were close friends. Then previously knowing of Seth Ploeckelman in high school, Parker Johnson reached out to him in the late winter of 2020 to ask Seth to join the developing band as the percussionist and pianist. In late March 2020, the group got together to develop their name. After a long and creative conversation and narrowing down the list of many other names, such as: Trees Need Water, The Flying Monkeys, and The Dancing Hotdogs, they finally came into agreement on Seth's idea for the name, Beyond Mars. Then after writing their debut album, Tomorrow, and their extended play album, The World Around, Robin Schmidt joined the group as the electric guitarist.

The music created by Beyond Mars was recorded and mixed entirely on their own, with the help of several friends. The music was simply recorded in Parker's home bedroom in Tomahawk by hanging up blankets and purchasing mics, an audio interface, and other equipment. After being mixed on Garageband by their dear friend Martin, the music was uploaded to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and several other streaming platforms for all to hear.
