Cobalt Skies[1] ,is the annual intercollege cultural, literary and sports fest of the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Karnataka, India.

It is held in October and early November, spanning 9 days, in which sports, cultural and literary events are hosted along with 'Panacea', the largest Medical Conference of South India. Cobalt Skies has participants from medical colleges all over the South India as well as from colleges of other disciplines.

Cobalt Skies, every year gives, lot of opportunities to students and teachers alike, to present their talents. It can be in Cultural events such as dance, singing and fashion shows, or in various Sports events, both group and singles.

Through the several workshops and quizzes conducted under Panacea, it has helped build a competitive yet fun environment for study.

Cobalt Skies 2022, had a large amount of attendance and was successful in spreading awareness and raising funds for the social issue of Menstrual hygiene.

Significance[2][edit]

The three-day state-level fest had an array of events in the literary, cultural, sports, fine arts and medical categories. More than 70 colleges from across the State participated in the fest, including a few medical colleges from Mysore, Hassan, Kolar ,Mandya, hubli ,Dharwad.

Competitions were open to students of pre-university, degree and diploma courses. The medical fest ‘Panacea 2011’ was meant exclusively for the medical students. The literary events saw a good participation with a lot of students battling it out for the medical students.
