In 1966, The March Against fear was a civil demonstration that made it’s way throughout the South led by members of the Civil Rights Movement. The long march was an attempt to defeat the ongoing racism issue and encourage Blacks to vote. This relates to Black Politics because this theory focuses on Resource Mobilization in regard to relative deprivation. This collective action resulted from repeated conditions of deprivation and feelings of frustration. It would be a good article for the assignment because, it lacks that Information can be added to improve the content such as implications and what the march led to or resulted in.

2. The National Black Assembly was a convention held in 1972 for mainly black people to stand up for themselves and not depend on a system that has left them oppressed for many years. It was a call to action for Black Politics stating a need for radical fundamental change. In relation to the Wikipedia Article, this stub lacks pretty much everything. It is considered an orphan as it only has one sentence. I can add content to the article, use additional citations for verification. I can add additional links to related subjects and improve the entire quality of the article.

3. Police power has always been a problem as officers abuse it and disregard people of color. Due to these officers’ actions people of color, especially black men, are extremely effected. This has a huge impact on Black Politics as it relates to the mistreatment of blacks in government and society. To improve the Wikipedia article I can tie police power to black politics and use links to stories to prove how it has negatively swayed the black community. Also include photos and illustrations to demonstrate police power as it restricts certain rights dependent on race. Bhorton14 (talk) 16:38, 24 February 2017 (UTC)Bhorton14
