"Billski" is a pseudonym for Bill Tarkulich who presently resides in Massachusetts, USA.

With degrees in Electrical Engineering (BSEE, RIT), Business (MBA, Northeastern) and Communications Electronics (Grahm Junior College), Bill has been involved with the design of computer systems since 1980.

He is a rabid skier, Vermont and Maine his most recent favorites. He belongs to the Sterling Ski Club and the ACE Ski and Board Club.

In the summer, he volunteers with the U.S. Forest Service in the White Mountain National Forest. His focus is trail management, safety patrols, stewardship, maintenance, volunteer recruitment and training. He also is a certified Wilderness First Responder and a Ham (Amateur) Radio Operator, call sign K1WMT.

His other past time of genealogy has spurred an interest in the research and promulgation of English-language information about the lands of eastern Slovakia. Bill hosts a non-commercial, ad-free genealogy web site which provides hundreds of genealogy tips and hundreds of articles and resources regarding Eastern Slovakia. His research interest includes the Dukla Pass region of Slovakia and the related battles. He is presently researching 1939-45 European resistance operations in Nazi-controlled puppet states of Slovakia, Greece and France. He also has trekked through and written extensively about the primeval forests of the Eastern Carpathian Mountains.region.
