Phat Kid Tendencies is the debut mixtape by rapper Black Bobby and is hosted by DJ D-Up- a DC/Miami based DJ. To be released November 13, 2009, the mixtape features no guest appearances. Producers featured on the album include Young McFly, MF DOOM, Kanye West, J Dilla, 88 Keys, DJ Premiere, and Focus. The mixtape will be free and released on the Internet. It will be available for download via Black Bobby's website.
Concept
[edit]Phat Kid Tendencies is the beginning of a movement for self-awareness and liberation. The mixtape, entirely created in Black Bobby's Miami apartment, is an introduction to Black Bobby as he sees himself- the same fat kid from 9th grade with the wrong gear on. Says Black Bobby about Phat Kid Tendencies:

There's nothing mini about this mixtape, folks. What started as a 14 track introduction to Black Bobby's skill set, is now a 22 track album including two bonus tracks- The Phat Kid '09 Freestyle & Rock With Obama. Rock With Obama is the first single from the mixtape, released just before President Barack Obama's Inauguration. Black Bobby described Rock With Obama recently:
