UBC Okanagan Dining[edit]

UBC Okanagan is located in the city of Kelowna and is home to around 9000 students. The Okanagan campus caters to all these students with various restaurants, cafeterias, and fast food chains that are all accessible with meal plans.

Sunshine Café[edit]

The Sunshine Café is located Administration (ADM) Building on the second floor just behind the school library. The Sunshine Food Court is one of the largest dining facilities on campus with variety to match. It offers home-style meals from their stations such as the Grille Works (offers all day breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, fries, and onion rings), Hearty Soups which soup option changes everyday, Express for students on the go (offers yogurts, desserts, sushi, salads, and drinks), a coffee station, pasta bar, and salad bar for a more healthier choice. Many students dine here and it offers outdoor seating.[1]

Tim Horton's[edit]

Tim Horton's is a beloved Canadian food chain and hence is one of the more popular locations on campus. Though lines for food on any campus are generally long, Tim Horton's is arguably the longest one. There are two Tim Horton's locations: the main one that is located right next to the library and the Tim Horton's Express which is inside the Arts building on the main floor. The main Tim Horton's has food along with their drinks and sweets whereas the Express only has coffee and a few of Tim Horton's signature treats.[2]

Subway[edit]

Subway is located inside the Arts and Sciences center (ASC) on the main floor. This food chain has all the options for subs along with soups (changes daily), cookies, and drinks.[3]

Starbucks[edit]

Starbucks is another very popular eating destination for students. It is located on the main floor of the Fipke building and is equipped with all the signature drinks as well as seasonal and specialty drinks, snacks, salads, pastries, and other beverages.[4]

Friday: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Weekends: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

HotSpot[edit]

The HotSpot is a convenience store located in the Residence C-Store located on the main floor of the Monashee Residence. HotSpot offers a great selection of convenience items - including snacks, frozen foods and health & beauty products. HotSpot will also include hot entrées and Express sandwiches and salads specifically for those students in residence.[5]

Green Thread[edit]

The Green Thread is a market located inside the UNC building on the main floor. It serves health conscious and green food and is the symbol of Aramark's commitment to protecting and improving the environment. It also serves Kooteney Coffee, Express, Hearty Soups, and Salad Garden.[6]

E.M. Eats[edit]

E.M.Eats is located in the Engineering, Management, & Education Building. It serves ethnic cuisine and specifically targets religious and dietary requests and offers items prepared with Halal chicken. The location also offers a wide selection of Vegan and Vegetarian options, all with an ethnic flair. E.M. Eats also has Starbucks, the Express, and Hearty Soups.[7]

UNC Building[edit]

A popular destination that is constantly filled with students, the student center is a popular place for food and just to hang out. Designed as more of a mall food court, students have the choice whether to get their food from Koi Sushi, the Well To Go, or Indian food. It is located on the first floor of the UNC building.[8]
