On Thursday, June 24 at around 1:30 am the Champlain Towers South condominium in Surfside, Florida partially collapsed.
There is an ongoing search and rescue effort going on. Rescuers have so far rescued 35 people from the building out of which 9 were injured and 1 has since died.
The cause of the collapse is unknown and is still under investigation
