Robert King Beathard IV (born 10 November 2004) is an American actor and filmmaker. Born in Houston, he studied acting with the Nikki Pederson Talent program and performed in plays in Houston theatres,[1] before booking roles in short films around Texas.
In 2024, Beathard made his film festival debut in BAIL! as Rainn, a neurotic teenager.
Early life and education
[edit]Beathard was born on 10 November 2004 in Houston, Texas. He performed in many plays throughout middle school and high school, including Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella as Prince Topher, for which he was nominated for the Tommy Tune Award for Outstanding Lead.[2] Unfortunately, Beathard had to drop out of the awards to focus on his UIL One Act Play Competition role; Paul Bäumer in All Quiet on the Western Front (for which he won multiple UIL awards for Best Performer).
After high school, Beathard attended the Nikki Pederson Talent program and, via the program's annual showcase, secured an agent and manager for his acting career.
Career
[edit]The summer before his senior year of high school, Beathard took on a lead role in his first short film, BAIL!. Upon graduating high school, Beathard made his Houston theatre debut in Women in Jeopardy! at the community theatre Theatre Suburbia[3] and assistant directed The Thanksgiving Play at 4th Wall Theatre.[4]
Beathard then played lead and supporting roles in several short films scheduled to run in film festivals, such as Super Over Saturated by Iron Waffle Productions.
Personal life
[edit]Beathard is the grandnephew of former NFL executive Bobby Beathard, who was a Pro Football Hall of Famer.
