7000Apart

[edit]

How it started

[edit]

7000apart is a husband and wife duo of "Amelie Eiding" and "Jonathan Kresin". their story began when Amelie left her hometown of Stockholm, Sweden at the age of 17 as an exchange student and ended up in Green bay, Wisconsin where she met Jonathan Kresin (her husband). They met in Music theory class in Jons senior year of high school and they became best friends and then more than friends but, at the end of the school they had to decide wether or not they wanted to stay together and try to do a distance relationship or just break up right then.

They managed to stay together and did 3 whole years of long distance relationship where they were 7000 kilometers apart from one another. So it was during that time they started 7000apart as a way of still making music despite being apart.

After 3 years of long distance they finally reunited in Sweden where they got married in 2016 then moved back to the USA to try to pursue doing music fulltime. And in May 2021 they achieved their dream and became fulltime musicians.

Their music

[edit]

7000apart’s Music transcends the relationship between Jon & Amelie. One of the cornerstones of their writing is mental health awareness, and their lyrics often touch on personal struggles and finding strength through dark times. They want to create music that resonates with others & helps them to feel a little less alone.

They started covering songs on YouTube and later on dropped their Debut album

They released their first album "We are more" on the 16th of May 2019 and started touring and performing it in multiple cities in the USA and Europe.

On November 2021 they launched a Kickstarter for their second studio album "Feel your feelings" which is an album about raising mental health awareness.

They're working with the Grammy winning producer "Femke" to make the album which is planned to be released in October 2022.

Challenges

[edit]

7000apart faced some challenges other than Distance relationship and one of them was 2020.

2020 was a huge deal for 7000apart owing to the fact that COVID-19 was just starting to spread everywhere in the world which lead to a worldwide lockdown. Therefore, they had to stop all of their shows which negatively affected them financially and mentally. However, they found a way of distracting themselves and engaging with other musicians which is Live streaming. They tried streaming on Facebook but they didn't get the attention they deserved. Later on they moved to a platform called "Younow" which is a live streaming app that allows you to go live and guest with others in their stream.

At first they were meeting and guesting with other musicians on the platform Then started streaming after getting a good amount of followers.

Younow was a life-saver for them as it got them a lot of attention and friends with some income.
