Brenden Wood works in the Australian radio industry. He is currently the Executive Producer for Sonia Kruger & Todd McKenney's radio show at Mix 106.5 in Sydney Australia.
Brenden was born in Hornsby, New South Wales, Australia on Sunday 16th July 1972. He is the eldest son of Marian and James Wood. Raised with his three brothers in Umina Beach, New South Wales. He attended schools, St John The Baptist Primary School, St Edwards College and Corpus Christi College. During his final year at Corpus Christi College, Brenden was School Captain.
During his final two years at school, Brenden worked weekends at Central Coast radio station 2GO. Upon completing his schooling he worked at Sydney NSW talk radio station 2GB as a producer before moving to Port Macquarie NSW where he worked on air at radio station 2MC.
In 1993, Brenden worked at Central Coast radio station Coast Rock FM (replacing sacked presenter Mike Goldman). Afterwards Brenden moved to work at the following radio stations: 2XL Snowy Mountains; 2CC Canberra; HOT 100 Darwin; Coast Rock FM NSW; SEA FM Gosford; FM 104.7 & MIX 106.3 Canberra; SA FM Adelaide; Triple M Adelaide; B105 Brisbane, 4BC Brisbane, 973FM Brisbane & 4KQ Brisbane.
During his career as both a broadcaster and producer, Brenden has worked alonside Australian radio & TV presenters: Sonia Kruger, Todd McKenney, Robin Bailey, Laurel Edwards, Gary Clare, Bob Gallagher, Marnie Titheradge, Terry Hansen, Mark Hine, Jamie Dunn, John Miller, Ross Davie, Chris Adams, James Brayshaw, Amanda Blair, Paul Gale, Ian Skippen, Paul Campion, Ian Maurice, Shane McFarlane, Penny Cooper, Bob Peters, Mike Duncan, Belinda Emmett, Sarah King and Marty Haines.
His brother, Robert Wood, works also for the Australian Radio Network in Sydney.
Brenden is also a professional rugby league referee. He made his National Rugby League debut on Saturday 3rd July at Ericsson Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand during the New Zealand Warriors versus Parramatta Eels match. He officiated the NRL's Toyota Cup grand final in October 2008.
