Brett Frederickson" (born September 03, 1963) is an American drummer. He currently runs the educational website, DrummersRule.net, where he offers video drum lessons, drum articles.
Early Career[edit]
Brett Frederickson began studying the drums at the age of 10. He spent the next 20 years refining his craft and graduated from Musicians Institute of Technology MIT.
At the age of 18 he began playing for bands such as Megadeth; studio work for various artists like Keith Horne, Jeff Kollman, Ray Riendeau, Scott Mishoe, and more
Brett currently runs drum lessons out of his home studio, in Phoenix AZ, where he offers a teaching method not typically done. Instead of one-on-one lessons, he does group lessons. His studio has four (4) top of the line Roland Electronic Kits and one (1) Acoustic Yamaha Kit.
Former students have graduated from Berkley College of Music & Musicians Institute; received full ride scholarships to ASU, NAU and U of A for drum-line, jazz band, and percussion; and won competitions such as the Sam-Ash and regional Guitar Center drum contests.
DrummersRule! Drum Lessons[edit]
Frederickson founded the website DrummersRule.net, which is an online drumming community run by Brett and his son Brandon. The website offers video drum lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced players, taught by Frederickson and individual downloadable lessons all filmed in Frederickson's home, located in Phoenix, Arizona.
