Reception[edit]

Charlotte Bronte was too concerned with her work being judged for being a female, and her work was very feminine. ([1]) Her book was viewed as a controversy at the time since she published it with a male pseudonym. ([2])

Style[edit]

Margeret Mcfadden-Gerber, author for MasterPlots, also applauded Bronte, "[Jane eyre is] like a fairytale, [it is] full of myth and superstition." ([3])
