Since Brodie could walk and talk the explanation of a racing career began, from hot rodding three wheeled pedal bikes and installing pegs and cardboard on his wheels, Brodie’s focus was to become a race car driver. From the age of four, Brodie’s introduction to racing was an 80cc two stroke powered Go Kart. Unlike other kids and families going to Soccer and Football Training, we decided to Go Kart Training in an outdoor hire kart facility, that Brodie’s father “Andrew Kostecki “mentored Brodie how to race to make lap times consistent and faster. I continued my training through the age of five, Brodie learnt how to tune a Walbro Carburettor, and learn the functions of the low-speed and high-speed for consistent tuning to keep the engine at optimum performance. Brodie started his racing career started with limited Dirt road course racing events at the age of six. As well as my on track training was up kept. A day after Brodie turned seven my racing career started running pavement road course. My podium results started from my pre tuition by my father. Through the years of seven to ten years of age with winning a State Championship and closed Championships and Club Champion and a string of podium finishes in Australia on a National level. From there, it was time to achieve my goal of being a champion in another country. Being accepted into USAC

Ford Focus Competition my goals were to be a recognized as an Australian International Driver. At the age of thirteen my string of podium finishes continued, at my second race event in USAC Ford Focus Young Guns Brodie podium finished with main event wins, my focus was to race oval. I had an opportunity to race a Go Kart at the technical Prairie City Go Kart Complex, Brodie was very excited, it was raining and that shows the best of Brodie’s ability with a finishing position of 5th from 17th in the main event. In the 2011 racing season Brodie competed In USAC rounds of competition and with 25 feature wins for 2011, Brodie has had more wins than any other racer since J.J Yeley in 2003. Brodie was Rookie of the Year 2011, Western Ford Focus Champion and Western Young Gun Champion and he has had More Wins than any other driver. Brodie’s accomplishments speak for themselves as his desire and sheer determination to win was a proven strategy.

In 2012 Kostecki joined the ranks of the Late Model Stock Car world throughout the Piedmont region in the Carolina’s and Virginia.  Kostecki competed with the United Auto Racing Association (UARA-STARS) running seven races and scoring two top-five finishes at the famed Rockingham Speedway (NC) and Concord Speedway (NC).  

2013 brought even more Late Model competition for Kostecki and a dip into the NASCAR divisions.  Kostecki continued to compete with the UARA-STARS in eight races, posting three top-10 finishes and two top-five finishes, including a win at the prestigious Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina.  Kostecki also made his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East debut at Richmond International Raceway (VA) and also competed in the series’ two events at Iowa Speedway .

For 2014 Brodie is competing full time in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. The #43 Toyota has Arcoplate as the primary sponsor. Canine Companion has also joined forces with Brodie, naming a dog after their favorite driver, Kostecki.
