Chickens are omnivores(eats meat and plants).Chickens have a part of their body's called Combs,located on the top of their head,and a waddle located on their Chin.Chickens are producers of eggs and meat. Their are 2 genders of chickens,hens,and,roosters , although,there are different types of chickens,such as:redstars,& buckeyes.hens are producers of eggs.Roosters are often slaughtered for meat.Chickens live in little homes called coops,and cages called runs. Chickens have something called the pecking order they have different types of popular and unpopular chickens the chicken that's the least popular is often pecked till he bleeds. Some chickens die from this miserable tradition.Chickens are very friendly and smart,they will often follow people around a yard. Some chickens have diseases. Chickens start out as little chicks.Chicks live in boxes under heat lamps so that they can stay warm until they grow different colored feathers and become chickens. Chicks like to eat chicken starter crumbles and will drink out of a container with chicken nipples that are red. The nipples are red because chickens are attracted to the color red and will start to peck at it. Chickens do not have outer parts of ears but they have the hole that sound comes through. Chickens do not have that good eyesight,and cannot smell. They like to be free-arranged and Peck at grass. In a chicken coop are often roosting sticks for chickens to stand on. Chicken eggs are very fragile and should be handled with great care, inside of an egg is the whitening and the yolk. Humans should never eat the shell of an egg,but give them to chickens. Chickens do not have mouths but they have beak.
