Personal Details

I am from Berkshire, the United Kingdom and am currently completing a BA (Hons) in History and Politics. My native tongue is (British) English.

In line with my academic subjects, my personal interests are mainly based around History and Politics and, therefore, the majority of my edits will undoubtedly concern these subjects, however, there will also likely be a large number of edits on completely random articles.

I concentrate on removing American English spellings and grammar from articles that are about subjects revolving around or based in the UK, but will happily replace British English in articles about American-based subjects as I believe that articles should be tailored towards the majority of their audience, this likely being from the country where the subject originates. In addition to localising language for an article's target audience, I also simply remove or alter spelling mistakes and typing errors when applicable as well as, when necessary, tidying up the language.

In no way do I claim to be the divine authority on anything, least of all on grammar. Inevitably I will make mistakes - there are probably plenty right here, on my user page. My view is that if everyone corrects each other, then Wikipedia will continue to become a better and more useful and more accessible tool for everyone.
