I am the person described at Bruce Hayes (linguist). As you can see from my edit record, I have actually done very little to upgrade WP's linguistics coverage, which I think is pretty good -- thanks to all the people who did the work.

I made this account mainly because at one point I wanted to plunge into a dispute about International Phonetic Alphabet article, which nowadays seems to be in better shape. Maybe some day when I retire I will try out doing some WP editing in linguistics.
