Born: 1954, Providence, Rhode Island, USA. Currently residing in NYC, NY, USA. B.S., Economics, Bentley University. M.A. and Ph.D., Economics, Cornell University. Former faculty positions held at Rutgers Univ., Simon Fraser Univ., Univ. of Utah and Tulane Univ. Public service positions in Economics Divisions at U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and U.S. Department of The Treasury, Comptroller of the Currency. MD, Market Risk Department, Chase Manhattan Bank. Over the last 25 years I designed, implemented and led the risk management function at five hedge funds, including 3 start-ups. My research has been published in both academic and practitioner/trade journals. In 2015 I coauthored a paper which won the "Peter L. Bernstein Award", from Institutional Investor Journals. I have served on the governing boards of two professional societies, the IAQF and PRMIA.
