Bucky Kramer, legal name Raymond Louis Kramer III, was born on January 15th, 1980 in Fort Hood Texas.


From 1980 -1985, Bucky was raised in Olney, Illinois, when at the age of 5, his father took a new job in Monticello, Indiana. Bucky attended the first portion of kindergarten at a private catholic school in Olney, and finished out his kindergarten year in the Delphi, IN school corporation. Upon completion of the school year, his parent enrolled he and his brother into the Twin Lakes School Corporation.


During his formative primary and secondary education, Bucky was a top student in his class, receiving many academic and athletic distinctions. Highlights of his academic awards include but are not limited to: Indiana Young Economist, Hoosier Boys State Lieutenent Governor, Class President, Academic Honors Diploma, Art Student of the Year. Upon completion of his high school career, Bucky was chosen as a Wabash College Lilly Scholar, an all-inclusive 4-year scholarship.


Bucky's Secondary Athletic Awards include but are not limited to: IFCA Junior All-State (Football), IFCA Pre-Season All-State (Football), School Record Holder for numerous placekicking records (Twin Lakes High School), Captain (Football and Track), Several White County (IN) Awards, Several All-Loganland and All-Lafayette Area Awards. Upon completion of his high school athletic career, Bucky was recruited to play football by several Division III schools in Indiana and Illinois. Bucky chose to attend Wabash College.


From 1998-2002, Bucky attended Wabash College (Crawfordsville, IN) where he majored in History and Education with a minor in Psychology. At Wabash, Bucky became a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity as well as the Wabash College Sphinx Club. Bucky served as an officer in his fraternity in a number of capacities. Bucky participated and started for three years on the Little Giant football team as an offensive linemen. In 2002, he was selected by his coaches as an honorable mention to the North Coast Athletic Conference Football Team as well as a representative of Wabash College in the All-Star.Com Bowl in Louisville, KY. Bucky also received numerous National Scholar Athlete awards as well as was chosen as the Caleb Mills Excellence in Education student of the year in 2002. Bucky was also selected as a dean's list student several times.


Upon receiving his B.A., Bucky and his wife Amanda (Anderson) Kramer moved to Logansport, IN where he served as a Social Studies/Career Education teacher as well as an assistant football and wrestling coach. Bucky was chosen as the Defensive Coordinator of the Logansport Berries football team by Indiana Hall of Fame football coach Elmer Britton in 2003. Two years later, in 2004, the Berries football team was defeated in the Semi-state of the IHSAA football tournament by Wawasee High School. That season marked the most successful season in Berries football history. In 2006, Bucky was named as the Head Coach of the Berries football team at the age of 25. During his tenure at Logansport, the Berries broke or tied almost every school defensive record. Several of Bucky's teams were ranked in the state of Indiana. In addition, Bucky led the Berries to a North Central Conference Championship in 2006. Bucky also served as the varsity assistant wrestling coach, helping to lead the Berries Wrestling team to several Sectional titles. Bucky's duties for Logansport were not limited to coaching as he was selected as an academic team leader, a representative of LHS for the LCSC Leadership Committee, the coordinator of the Berry Kick-Off freshmen orientation program, the school spirit coordinator, as well as the spring event supervisor during his last years at LHS. Bucky was selected as the 2006 Cass County Coach of the Year for football as well as the Region 4 Director for the IHSAA. Bucky served in other roles as well in Region 4. During the 2011 off-season, Bucky was chosen to coordinate and coach the Indiana Football Hall of Fame West squad. His team was victorious by a score of 32-18.


Upon his resignation from his teaching and coaching duties for Logansport High School in February of 2012, Bucky focused on the completion of his Masters of Leadership and Athletic Administration through Trine University. Bucky also earned his Class A CDL and delivered Pepsi for the Hoosier Refreshment Co. based out of Logansport, IN during the summer of 2012. During this time, Bucky also served as the Defensive Coordinator for the Lewis Cass Kings. In August of 2012, Bucky took the position as an assistant football coach, Middle School Social Studies Teacher, and head wrestling coach for the North Putnam School Corporation (IN). During his first year, the Cougar wrestling team advanced a wrestler to the Semi-State level as well as producing one of the most successful middle school wrestling programs in recent school history.


Bucky finished his Masters of Leadership concentrating Athletic Administration through Trine University. Bucky was chosen several times as an honors student for Trine University. Kramer is on the final phases of earning his Principal's license through Indiana State University. Bucky and his wife Amanda reside in Coatesville, IN with their sons Arrick and Christian.


Bucky is the son of Raymond "Butch" Kramer Jr. and Kimberle "Kim" Francis Kramer. He has two brothers, Michael "Mickey" Lee Kramer 12-25-80, and Christopher Cody Kramer 1-23-85.
