Mason Capwell is a fictional character on Santa Barbara. Mason was portrayed by Lane Davies from 1984-1989. Terry Lester replaced Davies as Mason Capwel on Santa Barbara for a year in September 1989 After Lane Davies left Santa Barbara permanently in July 1989. Lester left Santa Barbara In 1990 a year after joint the show. It was rumored that Lane Davies would return to play Mason again. But Davies refused and never returned to the role of Mason. The role of Mason Capwell went to Gordon Thomson who play Mason until January 15th 1993 when Santa Barbara was cancelled.
