Wikipedia's "Achilles' Heel"

Wikipedia is naturally a vulnerable source of information due to the notion of "consensus over commonsense". This notion allows users to agree to posting something on a Wikipedia page which doesn't make logical sense, which in some cases leads to false or misleading statements being left on the pages of Wikipedia, simply because said users wish to do so. This absurd attitude amongst many Wikipedia users extends to the concept that, if it's not included in official Wikipedia policy, it can be ignored, although this is a ridiculous way to move away from taking the logical choice when it comes to critical decisions within Wikipedia. Alas, due to this, it is unlikely that Wikipedia will ever be the resource that it aspires to be. In such cases, it is best to question the logic of the consensus, and leave it at that.
